Hello, my Name is Gabriel Sennhauser
Great that you found your way here! :)
A few words about me: I was born in 1987 in Bern, Switzerland, where I still live – together with my wife, our little son and our two cats. I work in the field of Marketing and IT, but with a strong connection into the health and mindfulness world.
My Meditation & MBSR Journey
My meditation journey started in 2012 with an introduction into the Shambhala Meditation. I started practicing regularly and soon noticed the great impact of it. Meditating provided me with confidence, support and peace from within, while on the outside many things were unclear and painful. It also showed me a strong foundation deep inside me that I can always rely on.
My second meditation experience with a particularly profound impact was my first ten day silent Vipassana retreat in 2018. By switching from Shambhala to Vipassana Practice, my perceptions sharpened, especially for bodily sensations. I was able to process and let go of old tensions and emotional wounds during that retreat. And it also demonstrated to me how happy I can be from "sitting still and in silence" for ten days.
Those experiences made me want to also introduce others into the great gift of mindfulness we all share. At the same time, I was aware that people sometimes have reservations about meditation, especially due to the often religious/spiritual context.
Therefore, I was happy to find out about MBSR as a nonreligious, scientifically documented way of teaching mindfulness. I finally found a method that would allow me to share the gift of mindfulness, but free from a belief or religious context.
And here we are...
